Join us for a Family Conversation on “Hiring and Retaining Staffing Supports”
Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 7 – 8:30pm
All too often families can have a hard time finding and retaining quality staffing supports to enable their son or daughter with developmental disabilities to have a good inclusive life. In-home & community staffing supports provide many benefits to the individual with developmental disabilities and their family such as supporting the individual to expand on their interests in the community, to sustaining the integrity of the whole family unit, to building sustainable networks of natural support around the individual and family.
In this session, families will share their experiences, challenges and advice about finding, supervising and retaining staff while providing opportunities to deepen each family’s knowledge and strategies of how to go about recruiting and employing their own staff.
